Celebrity Bout: Portable, Charles Okocha trade words at boxing face-off

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha engaged in a heated confrontation during a face-off ahead of their celebrity boxing showdown.
The bout, tagged ‘Chaos in the Ring’, is scheduled to hold on July 31 in Lagos.
Videos shared online by the event organisers, Balmoral Promotions, and reposted by Okocha on his verified Instagram page, showed the celebrities confronting each other on stage before security personnel intervened.
In the footage, both artistes traded fierce insults, stood up, and threw mock punches, as they appeared alongside a moderator to discuss their readiness for the rematch.
The rematch is coming after Portable secured a unanimous victory over Okocha in their first meeting earlier in the year, prompting the actor to invoke the rematch clause.
During the interview, Portable repeatedly declared that he would defeat Okocha again, boasting, “I’m the man… I go prepare, I don prepare, I go win again, I go fight again. I go beat Charles Okocha.”
Okocha, on the other hand, repeatedly told Portable to reserve his energy for the fight, saying, “So what are you talking about? Can you save that for the ring? Can you save that on the 31st? Don’t disrespect me! I’m not your mate. Don’t disrespect me.”
The face-off has attracted reactions from fans and celebrities on social media.
Actor Timini Egbuson said, “The winner of this fight too sure.”
Media personality Do2dtun stated, “Boxing na composure. No be by mouth. Let the best man win.”
However, Music executive Don Wily threw his weight behind Okocha, saying, “Team Charles Okocha… Sure oddd.”
According to the organisers, the fight will be streamed live, adding that tickets are already on sale for physical attendance at the show.
The celebrity boxing showdown has continued to generate excitement online, with supporters of both contestants expressing confidence ahead of the fight night.
