Champions League: Bayern, Liverpool, Chelsea, Madrid secure victories

Matchday three of the UEFA Champions League concluded with Liverpool snapping their losing streak against Frankfurt, Chelsea producing a five-goal thriller, and Bayern cruising to another clean-sheet win at home.
Liverpool ended their eight-game losing run with a dominant 5–1 win on an away trip against Eintracht Frankfurt. Goals from Szoboszlai, Ekitike, Konaté, Van Dijk, and Gakpo sealed the victory, while Florian Wirtz registered two assists after poor form at the start of his campaign with the Reds.
Frankfurt’s woes continued as they suffered a second consecutive heavy defeat in Europe, compounded by a red card.
In London, Chelsea swept aside Ajax in a 5–1 rout. Ajax were reduced to ten men early after Kenneth Taylor’s dismissal, and Marc Guiu, Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, and Tyrique George all found the net for the Blues. Wout Weghorst scored Ajax’s only goal.
At the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich maintained their perfect start, thrashing Club Brugge 4–0 to make it 12 wins in 12 games. Young winger Lennart Karl became the club’s youngest-ever Champions League scorer at just 17 years of age, with Kane, Diaz, and Jackson adding to the tally for Vincent Kompany’s side.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid edged Juventus 1–0 courtesy of a Jude Bellingham strike. The English midfielder’s second-half goal came after Vinícius Júnior’s effort struck the post, sealing a hard-fought win for Xabi Alonso’s side at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Juve had few chances, with Courtois denying Vlahović’s best opportunity to level for his team.
Other fixtures of the game week saw Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco play to a draw, while Atalanta and Slavia Prague also shared the points in another stalemate.
Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao secured a 3-1 victory against Qarabag FK, and Sporting Lisbon pulled off a 2-1 win over Marseille.
