Chelsea has agreed to sell striker Tammy Abraham to Roma for a £34 million transfer fee.

The London side is offloading Abraham from their squad in expectation of Romelu Lukaku who has agreed to join the club from Inter Milan, SkySports reported.

Although Chelsea’s rival Arsenal was in the race to sign Abraham, Chelsea prefers not to strengthen an English rival, hence his impending transfer to the Italian side.

Abraham, 23, who made his cameo debut for England national team in 2017, made it into Chelsea’s first team under former Coach Frank Lampard.

During last season’s campaign, he netted 12 goals and ended the season as the highest scorer for the club despite limited playing time under Thomas Tuchel.
