Chelsea women lose UEFA Champions League as Oshoala wins with Barcelona

Super Falcon’s Asisat Oshoala has won the UEFA Women’s Champions League title with Femeni Barcelona after defeating Chelsea’s women 4-0 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The first goal came in the first minute under 30 seconds after an own goal was scored by Chelsea’s Leupolz.
Barcelona extended their lead in the 14th minute with Alexia shooting the penalty kick that beat the Blues goalkeeper.
Chelsea’s women team came into the match after winning the English Women League title a few days ago.
Bonmati compounded the Blues ladies problem when she scored the third goal of the match just seven minutes after Alexia’s goal.
Chelsea’s defense were left with holes after Graham Hansen’s goal in the 37th minute took the scoreline to 4-0 without a reply from Chelsea.
The second 45 minutes elapsed without Chelsea scoring any goal to return back to the match or form a comeback.
This is Barcelona’s first European title with previous editions won by Lyon after defeating Barcelona in the 2019 edition of the competition.
They are also the first Spanish team to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League Title
Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala was introduced into the match in the 71st minute and became the first African player to win the UWCL.
Barcelona’s goalkeeper, Sandra Panos received some spotlight after making a total of five impressive saves with three coming from inside the 18-yard box.
