China pledges to address inconvenience caused by COVID-19

A spokesperson for China’s National Health Commission (NHC) on Tuesday said the authorities would try their best to reduce the inconvenience caused by COVID-19.
Mi Feng, an NHC spokesperson, said all localities are making solid efforts to prevent and control the epidemic.
According to Mr Feng, efforts should also be made to accurately identify risky areas based on nucleic acid tests and epidemiological investigation.
Also, he said closed-off management for epidemic control should be imposed and lifted as quickly as possible to reduce the inconvenience caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.
Mr Feng also stressed science-based classification and treatment of COVID-19 patients, proper treatment of and care for children, the elderly, and patients with underlying diseases.
He added that extreme control measures should be continuously rectified, and reasonable people’s requests should be responded to and addressed promptly.
