U.S. comedian Chris Rock has landed massive overnight sales of his upcoming world tour ticket after Will Smith slapped him at the Oscars.

TickPick, a popular online marketplace for event tickets, disclosed that “they sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than the past month combined.”

Following his recent joke about Jada Pinkett at the 94th Academy Awards that incur Will’s wrath and a slap, sales of the comedian’s upcoming show have risen drastically.

According to Variety, Chris’ tickets, initially selling at $46 per person on March 18, went up to $341 after the incident on March 28.

Will has apologised to the comedian as Chris declined to press charges.

He will be performing at Boston’s Wilbur theatre from March 30 till April 1.
