Mr Ukpai died on October 6, according to a statement issued by his family.
The news of his death was also confirmed on his Facebook page, with “He came, he saw, and he conquered. Now is rest time.”
In a condolence message signed by its chairman, Lekan Shobowale, the association said the late man of God lived a fulfilled life.
The association described the life and times of the late bishop as glorious and eventful.
“On behalf of the entire Christian journalists in Oyo State, we celebrate a grandfather, father, mentor, spiritual guardian, and media delight at all times.
