Christian youths pray for Nigeria on 64th independence anniversary

The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), the Katsina chapter, has organised a seven-hour Independence Praise Festival.
The special thanksgiving and prayer session took place on Tuesday at the United Evangelical Church, Kofar Kaura Layout, Katsina.
The thanksgiving and prayer session was tagged ‘Sound of Victory’.
Ilemona Isaiah, YOWICAN chair in Katsina, said the event was aimed at offering God thanks for the nation’s blessings and achievements over the past 64 years.
He explained that the prayer session was used to pray for more peaceful coexistence, unity and improved security in the state and the country.
Mr Isaiah said, “It was to pray for the state and the nation for what the Lord has done in the past, what He is currently doing, and what is to come for Nigeria, the state and also our families.
“We equally want to congratulate and wish Governor Dikko Radda and the good people of the state, Nigeria, and Nigerians a happy 64th Independence Anniversary. We commend the efforts of the government towards the development and transformative youth programmes.”
He, therefore, called for more youth and women empowerment in the state.
According to him, Christians across the state who attended the event have prayed for better days ahead as a nation.
The participants concluded with fervent prayers for the nation’s future and shared a message of hope, unity, and progress for Katsina State and the country.
