Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, has said Nigeria will soon reclaim its lost glory among comity of nations.

He said this in a Christmas goodwill message on Thursday in Akure.

Mr Oladiji asked all and sundry to continue to pray for the continued unity, peace and progress of the country.

He asked Nigerians to help the less privileged and promote peaceful coexistence irrespective of differences.

The speaker enjoined Nigerians to emulate the doctrine of Christ in faith, hope and love to justify the essence of the Christmas celebration.

According to Mr Oladiji, there is need to embrace the spirit of love and tolerance that Christmas represents.

He said, “As we joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest Christmas greeting to everyone. I encourage individuals, corporate bodies, faith-based organisations and community leaders to extend hands of kindness and generousity to those in need and ensure that the joy of the season reaches every home.”

Mr Oladiji lauded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the landmark achievements recorded by his administration, especially in the areas of infrastructure, health, education and security.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and prosperous Christmas and New Year celebration, Mr Oladini prayed God to continue to grant the state a renewed strength, divine favour and lasting development.
