Civil Defence nabs Ondo farmer for raping 14-year-old daughter

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a farmer, Abraham Achibong, in Ondo for allegedly molesting his daughter.
Mr Achibong, 40, was apprehended raping his 14-year-old daughter (name withheld).
The Ondo commandant of the NSCDC, Ibiloye Oluyemi, paraded the suspect along with two other suspects before journalists in Akure said Mr Achibong was arrested following complaints.
Mr Oluyemi, in a statement by the spokesperson for the command, Daniel Aidamenbor, said the accused had been sexually molesting his daughter for six years.
“This has been going on for six years until a few days ago when the girl (name withheld) summoned the courage to confide in her teacher when the Ondo State Primary Health Care officers visited her school on a sensitisation programme on human papillomavirus vaccine.
“The suspect has since confessed to the crime, and he would be prosecuted in the law court for his crime of rape, molestation and incest,” he said.
The NSCDC command nabbed two other suspects, Agu Nzube Matthew and Ojo Oluwasola, for alleged fraud and stealing.
