CNN sacks Don Lemon

Don Lemon, American television journalist and a host on the Cable television network, CNN, has been sacked.
Confirming his sack via a statement on Twitter, Monday, Mr Lemon said “After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”
Mr Lemon stated further “that he was sure of some larger issues at play. With that being said, he thanked his colleagues and many teams he worked with for an incredible run and wished them all the best.”
According to a memo posted on CNN’s Twitter account, “Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years,” the statement said. “We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavours.”
His sack came after comments he made about Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, being “past her prime.”
