The Nigeria Football Coaches Association has constituted a five-member interim committee for Nasarawa State chapter.

This followed the crisis that hit the chapter.

National President of the association, Ladan Bosso, made the announcement at a meeting with members and the Nasarawa State Football Association on Tuesday in Lafia.

According to Mr Bosso, the decision was aimed at ensuring peace among the members of the association in Nasarawa State and to ensure that new officials are elected within three months.

The president said he would visit the state to end the leadership crisis in the association.

He commended the efforts made by the FA in the state so far and reminded coaches that they are an affiliate of the football association and must always work in consultation.

Mr Bosso directed the committee to immediately begin the process of election of officials from local government to the state level.

He said that the committee must conclude election and vacate office for the new officials on or before February 24, 2024.

Mr Bosso appealed to aggrieved members to put everything behind them and give peace a chance for the overall interest of the association.

The Chairman of the committee, Coach Rabo Mohammed, who spoke on behalf of members, assured that the committee would provide a level playing field for all contestants.

He appealed for support from members of the association in order to succeed in their assignment.

The state FA Chairman, Salisu Galadima, expressed optimism that the intervention by Mr Bosso would put to rest the crises rocking the association in the state.

He said the FA would sponsor 15 Coaches from the state to professional training in Abuja and Lagos in fulfilment of his campaign promises.

The newly elected FA Chairman in the state, Salisu Galadima, had recently suspended the activities of the association because of the crisis.
