Court finds two Kaduna men guilty of stealing motorcycle

The Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna, has remanded two men, John Simon and Yusuf Nikie in prison custody after they pleaded guilty to stealing a motorcycle.
The magistrate, Michael Bawa, however, reserved sentence until May 2.
Simon and Nikie were prosecuted by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.
The prosecutor, Marcus Audu, told the court that Tanko Umaru, the complainant, reported the matter at the corps’ office in Kafanchan on April 13.
Mr Audu said the defendants went into the complainant’s house at Bakin Kogi and stole his Bajaj motorcycle.
He said the defendants were arrested during the investigation, and the motorcycle was found in their possession.
