CP SFU tasks officers on professionalism, discipline

The CP reaffirmed the unit’s commitment to continuous capacity building and accountability.

The Comiissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Lagos State, Rose Dung, has charged officers to rededicate themselves to professionalism, diligence and strict adherence to the rule of law. 

This is contained in a statement signed by the unit’s spokesperson, DSP Ovie Ewhubare, on Tuesday in Lagos.

Ms Ewhubare said that the CP gave the charge at the unit’s first briefing of the year, stressing the need for officers to uphold the image and integrity of the Nigeria Police Force at all times.

“The conduct of individual officers directly reflects on the institution as a whole,” she said

The commissioner also urged personnel to discharge their duties with honesty, fairness, and respect fundamental human rights and avoid actions capable of bringing the force into disrepute.

The police boss also highlighted punctuality, proper turnout, and operational diligence as key elements of effective modern policing.

According to her, discipline remains the bedrock of policing.

She stated that unprofessional conduct would not be tolerated under hee watch.

Ms Dung reaffirmed the unit’s commitment to continuous capacity building and accountability.

She encouraged officers to approach the year with renewed dedication to duty, national service, and the protection of lives and property.

She reassured members of the public of the unit’s resolve to deliver effective, intelligence-led policing and sustain strong collaboration with stakeholders to enhance public trust.

She called on members of the public to always support the police with timely and credible information, stressing the unit’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and serve with integrity.
