Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia star, Cristiano Ronaldo will on August 8, 2026, wed his fiancée and mother of his children, Georgina Rodriguez.

According to The Sun, the couple will exchange marital vows at the historic Funchal Cathedral, Madeira Island in Portugal, where the football legend was born, raised and began his career.

The ceremony will thereafter proceed to the five-star Savoy Palace Hotel in the island’s capital city, for a lavish reception.

Though neither Ronaldo nor Georgina has officially confirmed the wedding date or venue, one of the viral wedding pictures showed the 41-year-old and his 32-year-old spouse flaunt their engagement rings at the camera.

Another picture showed the couple flanked by popular football stars and celebrities, including Erling Haaland of Manchester City, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona and American online streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed, among others.

The reports of the wedding intensified after guests at the hotel were told that two floors of the facility and some bar areas would be closed on Friday and Saturday for a private event.

The latest development followed media reports in Portugal that the couple would be getting married after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, at the location.

Ronaldo and Georgina who is Spanish-Argentinian have been in a relationship since 2016, and are raising five children together. In August 2025, Georgina posted a photo of her wearing a diamond ring, confirming their engagement.
