Dare Adeboye’s death not COVID-related: Colleagues
As circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Dare Adeboye, continues to unfold, pastors at the Seed Family (PSF) parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) say his death is not COVID-19 related.
The late Adeboye is the son of popular preacher and General Overseer of RCCG, Enoch Adeboye.
PSF, a body of Pastors, Ministers, and Workers children confirmed Mr Dare’s death in a statement on Instagram.
Mr Adeboye, 42, who was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, was said to have died in his sleep in Eket, Akwa Ibom state.
Contrary to reports that the pastor died on Wednesday, May 5, PSF said the pastor passed away on Tuesday, May 4.
The statement read in part:
“It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband, and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021.
“It is the wish of the family to be left alone at this moment, and we pray the Lord keep you as you honour this humble request.
Without stating the cause of his death, PSF said it “is not covid-19 related.”
Also confirming the death, Leke, a younger brother to the deceased took to his Facebook page to write “The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil,” without further details.
On the deceased’s 42nd birthday in 2020, his father had described him as his “first miracle child”.
The renowned cleric’s post read: “Happy birthday to my son Pst Dee prayers on your 42.
“Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”
Commonly known as “Pastor D”, late Dare was one of the most influential Youth Pastors in RCCG worldwide.
