Daura youths drum support for Kwankwaso’s presidential ambition

A coalition of youth groups across Daura in Katsina State, has called on the area’s people to vote for Rabiu Kwankwaso, a presidential aspirant on the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) platform.
The youths who made the call during a meeting on Sunday in Daura argued that Mr Kwankwaso would continue to focus more on the development of youths if elected.
“If you could remember, when he was the governor of Kano State, he empowered a lot of youths and sponsored many of them to study different courses in Nigeria and abroad.
“Not only when he was the governor, even after his tenure, he has sponsored many indigenes of the state to further their education,” one of the NNPP stakeholders, Muttaqha Rabe, said.
Mr Rabe said Mr Kwankwaso also provided skills acquisition centres for the 44 local government areas in Kano.
“Therefore, I want to assure you that if he becomes the president, he’s going to continue towards that direction and other developmental programmes in Nigeria.” Mr Rabe said.
Mr Rabe also solicited support for Nura Khalil as the Katsina State governor under the NNPP.
Earlier, the youth coordinator, Bashir Bala said that Mr Khalil also had the same interest in youths’ development, just like Mr Kwankwaso.
He, therefore, called on the people of the zone and the state in general to ensure that their votes were for Khalil as governor and Kwankwaso as President.
