Musician David Adeleke otherwise called Davido took campaign for safe rescue of pupils and teachers abducted by bandits on May 15 in three schools in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State to the FIFA countdown concert at Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Wearing a black jacket customised with the names of the victims, Davido performed his hit song ‘With You’ at the FIFA show.

On the back of the artiste’s black jacket customised with the names of the hostages is a carved phrase: BringThemHome.

Speaking in a short video, Davido said “May God be with the families of the abducted and the ones killed. It is just a very sad situation that they have not been rescued.

Nigeria is going through a lot.”

Davido’s campaign for safe rescue of the Oyo schoolchildren and teachers comes almost a month after their abduction.

The abduction of the Oyo hostages has sparked outrage with protesters in Lagos, Ogun, Bayelsa, Ibadan demanding their release.
