Davido welcomes twins, Wizkid buries mother, other entertainment highlights this week

Last week, the Nigerian entertainment scene buzzed with significant events that caught the attention of fans and media outlets. Of these notable events, two stand out.
First is Davido’s joyous announcement of the arrival of twins and then was Wizkid’s poignant and stylish tribute to his late mother during her burial ceremony.
While these two stories took centre stage, the entertainment industry in Nigeria remained abuzz with various other updates.
Davido and Chioma welcome twins
The announcement of the birth of his twins was met with great excitement and celebration by fans of Davido, as it marked a special and joyous moment in the life of the beloved artist, especially with the loss of his son Ifeanyi to a swimming pool accident.
The announcement was followed by a video recording by Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, confirming the news. In the video, we can see the singer and his wife Chioma Adeleke, popularly known as Chef Chi, coming out of a hospital in Atlanta with the twins.
Wizkid’s tribute to his late mother
Away from Davido’s double dose of happiness, Nigerian music industry heavyweight, Wizkid, made headlines as he paid a heartfelt and stylish tribute to his late mother.
The burial of Wizkid’s mother was a poignant and deeply emotional moment for the artist, as he honoured her memory in a manner that reflected his profound love and respect.
The musician organised an elaborate burial ceremony in honour of his mother, extending invitations to prominent individuals, actors, and influential social media figures.
Some of the guests included billionaire entrepreneur Tony Elumelu, Oba Elegushi, Eniola Badmus, Osas Ighodaro, and Big Brother Naija Season Four winner, Mercy Eke.

Mayorkun drops new single ‘Lowkey’
After vanishing on Instagram in July, renowned singer Mayorkun, has made a grand return to the platform with the release of his latest single, ‘Lowkey.’
In anticipation of his upcoming EP, titled ‘Love for Free,’ the singer took to his Instagram account to announce the release of a brand-new song. In doing so, he also provided some intriguing hints regarding the reasons behind his recent absence from the platform.
