The Delta government, on Monday, reaffirmed its commitment to infrastructure development across the state.
The commissioner for works (highways and urban roads), Reuben Izeze, alongside other top government officials, made the remark during an inspection of the DSC Roundabout Flyover in Effurun, ahead of its completion and handover.
He said the renewed drive would continue to prioritise quality road construction to boost connectivity, economic activities, and ease the movement of people and goods across urban and rural communities.
Mr Izeze said the visit aimed to assess the quality of work and the level of completion before the final inspection and official handover to the Delta government.
The works commissioner said that the contractor invited the government team to identify and address any issues before the project’s handover to the government.
According to him, the construction of the flyover itself has reached about 98 per cent completion, with only minor works remaining.
Mr Izeze expressed satisfaction with the construction quality and compliance with the approved engineering specifications.
He further said that the government expected the project to be fully completed before the final inspection.
