Democrats publish emails alleging Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released email conversations between convicted sex offender and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, suggesting that President Donald Trump was aware of his crimes.
The emails published by the Democrats on Wednesday are parts of thousands of documents obtained from the late sexual predator’s estate following a subpoena issued by the committee earlier this year amid allegations of government coverups in the high-profile case.
An email dated January 2019 to one Michael Wolff, nine months before Mr Epstein committed suicide in his cell, the fancier wrote that Mr Trump “knew about the girls as he has asked Ghislaine to stop.”
In another email to Ms Maxwell in 2011, Mr Epstein told his co-conspirator that Mr Trump is the “dog that hasn’t barked” because he’d spent time with someone whose name is redacted as “VICTIM.”
He added, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. “VICTIM” spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned.”
The emails are the latest material that the Democrats have published to prove the relationship between Messrs Epstein and Trump after the party, in September, published a birthday letter written in a naked woman diagram allegedly sent by the American leader to Mr Epstein.
Earlier this year, Mr Trump’s former ally Elon Musk also accused the president of being implicated in the Epstein case, claiming that was the main reason he is reluctant to release the classified files of the case, despite promising to unseal the documents during his campaign.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump has repeatedly denied any allegations against him relating to the case.
