Deputy governor partners Obaseki for signature projects in Edo-North senatorial district

Deputy Governor of Edo State, Marvellous Omobayo, has pledged to work with Gov. Godwin Obaseki to execute signature projects for the people of Edo North Senatorial District.
He gave the promise during his visit to Akoko-Edo, his local government of origin and other council areas making up the senatorial district after his inauguration as deputy governor of the state.
Recall that Mr Omobayo was sworn in as deputy governor on April 8, following the impeachment of his predecessor, Philip Shaibu, by the state House of Assembly.
The deputy governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Victor Adefemi, on Sunday in Benin City, said he was overwhelmed by the joy and celebration exhibited by the people of Akoko-Edo, Owan and Etsako council areas over his appointment.
Assuring that he would not disappoint them, he promised to work with the governor to ensure the establishment of signature projects in place that people would be able to point to as their achievements during his stint as the state deputy governor.
Mr Omobayo, who toured five other local government areas within the senatorial district, was well received by the residents.
