Developer denies fraud allegations, says NNPC staff converted apartment to hotel

Ambassador Cecil Osakwe, the managing director of Abeh signatures, has tendered legal documents to counter the 2022 fraud allegations against him.
Asabe Waziri, an employee of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited staff, accused Mr Osakwe of fraud.
Ms Asabe claimed Mr Osakwe refused to refund payments for some properties as ordered by the court.
Mr Osakwe, however, accused Ms Waziri of tarnishing his image with the allegations. According to the property developer, the dispute resulted when Ms Waziri, a tenant of Mr Osakwe.
Reacting to the allegations of fraud accusations by Ms Asabe that the managing director of Abeh Signatures Limited is still holding onto her money following a high court order on February 17, 2022, Victor Giwa, a lawyer of Mr Osakwe, countered the allegations.
He disclosed that his client had sent out a check for N150 million to Ms Waziri, which includes the legal and agency fee as ordered by the court, which he claimed she allegedly rejected through her lawyer.
Reacting to the N11 million electricity theft accusations by Ms Waziri against him on one of his properties at 11 Aso drive in Abuja on November 2022, Mr Osakwe, through his lawyer, tendered documents from Abuja Electricity Distribution Company which reportedly gave accounts on how his firm on the property paid electricity bills.
Mr Osakwe said he did not owe Ms Waziri as he had carried out all court orders regarding the case.
Abeh Signature Limited had earlier sued Ms Waziri, alleging a breach of contract in the purchase of the apartments after she allegedly converted one of the apartments to a hotel.
