DHQ holds route march for inter-agency unity

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has announced a joint route march exercise involving the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies, scheduled for Friday, in Abuja.
The director of defence information, Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.
Mr Gusau said the march would begin at 5:00 a.m. from Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment football field, proceeding to Mambilla Barracks, and returning through Niger Barracks.
He stated that the routine exercise aimed to enhance physical fitness, synergy, and esprit de corps among personnel of the Armed Forces and other participating security agencies in the capital city.
He advised road users, especially along the Asokoro–AYA axis, to take alternative routes as directed by officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other traffic authorities.
Mr Gusau assured that adequate traffic arrangements were in place for a smooth flow.
He urged residents to cooperate and apologised for any inconvenience caused by temporary traffic diversions.
