Diri to kick off prosperity cup season 8

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, will on Thursday perform the kick-off of the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament, christened the ‘Prosperity Cup.’
The tournament’s Media Director, Ebi Avi, disclosed this in a statement to journalists in Yenagoa on Wednesday.
Mr Avi said that during the kick-off ceremony, two Bayelsa selected sides would be tutored by FC Barcelona technical directors in a Spanish-Bayelsa combo.
According to him, the match will kick-off immediately after the weekly Prosperity Walk at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
Mr Avi said that Mr Diri would lead top political stakeholders and opinion leaders in the state to take the ceremonial kick-off.
He said that the kick-off ceremony would be witnessed by officials from the FC Barcelona, Bernat Villa Gorriz and Alberto Lafuente Rincon.
The media director urged stakeholders, sports enthusiasts, coaches and participating teams to be part of the event.
