DNA Tests: It wasn’t me that impregnated your mother, Davido tells 12-year-old girl

Afrobeats star Davido has rejected the paternity claim of a girl, Mitchelle Anuoluwapo, and warned of court action following her request for a DNA test.
On Thursday, the 12-year-old shared a statement on Instagram, saying she is becoming a teenager and wanted to establish her identity.
In the post, the young girl said she had grown up believing Davido was her father and had suffered years of bullying at school because of the claim.
She said that as she grew older, she decided to renew her request for a DNA test, describing it as a personal decision made without pressure from relatives.
“On that note, as I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer @davido for a DNA test to establish my identity,” the 12-year-old stated.
Shortly after the post went viral, she posted screenshots of alleged direct messages between her and Davido.
In the messages attributed to the singer, Davido denied being her father and claimed that multiple DNA tests had already been conducted, all with negative results.
According to the screenshots, Davido said five DNA tests were conducted over the years at medical facilities chosen by both parties, and he mentioned he would post the results online.
He accused the girl’s mother of harassment and warned that he would take legal action if it did not stop.
Davido later addressed the issue publicly on X, responding to fans who questioned him about the allegations.
“Yes, I chose three hospitals, and they chose their own two hospitals… all came out negative… this is the last time I’m speaking on this,” Davido claimed.
He also said his upbringing influenced how seriously he treated matters relating to paternity. He claimed he had never met the lady before the tests.
In response, the girl’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, issued a statement on her daughter’s Instagram page, accusing Davido of intimidation, bullying, and misrepresentation.
“My daughter cried for days, fainted in school and went through psychotherapy… I am very protective of my daughter’s mental health after the level of bullying she went through for years. Dr Deji Adeleke took us to a lab, not a hospital, where Anu’s blood was drawn in 2014, then discarded behind our backs and a fake result was printed,” she said.
“David chatted my daughter tonight threatening to lock me up, cursing Anu and repeatedly bullying her. I will request the U.S. State Department to contact the embassy in Lagos or Abuja to help us supervise and witness a clean independent DNA test.
“Saying you’ve never met me or telling your family that I was a prostitute is wrong. Bullying my daughter is WRONG,” Ms Labinjoh said.
