Don’t leave polling units until results are uploaded on IREV, Davido tells Accord Party supporters

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has urged voters in the ongoing Osun governorship election to monitor their votes until they are uploaded on INEC Result Viewing portal.
“Don’t leave your polling unit until its being uploaded on the IREV,” Davido stated on X. “Protect your vote now.”
The musician, who commended voters for resisting vote-buying in the process, alleged that the youths were seizing money for electoral fraud.
“Osun State youths are seizing APC money meant for votes-buying”, he added.
Davido’s statement came amid reports of vote-buying in several locations in the state.
Peoples Gazette earlier reported that voters in Ikire admitted to receiving money offers from both the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress to cast ballots for their candidates.
At Eleye Open Space polling unit in Ikire, a voter told The Gazette that Accord Party was offering N2,500 for votes while APC promised voters N20,000.
Other voters, particularly in Open Space Gantry Sawmill ward 9 Unit 11, said they were wooed with N15,000 to thumbprint APC. When it’s their turn to vote, they signal an APC official and thumbprint the box that has the APC logo.
The voters would then raise the ballot paper in a way that reveals their vote to the APC representative standing outside the tent. Once the representative nods in approval, the voter drops it in the ballot box.
