Dwayne Johnson’s new movie ‘Red Notice’ has broken Netflix opening day record at its weekend debut.
The wrestler-turned-actor said it had been an overwhelming outcome following the movie debut, acknowledging it as “the biggest opening ever.”
“It’s official as the numbers are coming in from 190 territories around the world. Red Notice has become the biggest opening ever ~ for any movie in the history of Netflix,” Dwayne stated.
The movie narrates the ordeals of an Interpol agent on a mission to capture the world’s most wanted art thief.
The $200 million-budget movie co-starred Gal Gadot and Ritu Arya.
Gal also took to her Instagram page to celebrate the movie, saying, “This is amazing!!!! What can I say, you guys are the best and the reason why we make these films. So grateful and excited!!! Congratulations, Netflix and to the entire @rednotice.movie team.”
Although the movie has been criticised by many, reports stated that ‘Red Notice’ was “well-received by fans,” with over 92 per cent audience.
