Ebonyi: APGA appoints campaign DG, media director

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ebonyi chapter, has appointed Samuel Okporie as campaign director-general, noting that the party is ready to win the governorship seat in the state in 2023 general polls.
Benerd Odoh, APGA gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi, told journalists in Abakaliki on Wednesday, that the party was set to inaugurate Odohzia campaign directorate.
Mr Odoh stated that the role of the campaign director-general, among other terms of reference, is to spearhead and coordinate the campaign activities.
“Okporie, the DG is a lawyer by profession, hails from Amoso Edda, Afikpo South local government area of Ebonyi state. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering from the then Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt,” he stated. “Okporie acquired Bachelor of Law from the same institution and thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law school, Enugu Campus, where he was called to the Nigerian Bar.”
He added, “He has been engaged in private legal practice for over a decade and is presently the Principal Partner in Samfrek Attorneys of S. A.Okporie & company.”
Similarly, campaign council had earlier announced the appointment of Charles Otu as director of media and publicity.
Mr Otu, a journalist of over a decade practice, hals from Afikpo North LGA and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
