EFCC arrests 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa State.
In a statement on Thursday, the anti-graft agency said its Kaduna Zonal Directorate arrested them in Tamah Local Government Area following actionable intelligence.
The agency said, “Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 40 (forty) suspected internet fraudsters.
“They were arrested on Wednesday, April 29, 2025, in Tamah, in the Tamah Local Government Area of Nassarawa State. Their arrest followed actionable intelligence linking them with suspected fraudulent activities.
“Items recovered from them include five laptops and 34 mobile phones.”
The agency said the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
