The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it will charge cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, with naira mutilation.

Peoples Gazette reported on Thursday that the EFCC arrested Bobrisky where he was detained at the Lagos zonal command of the commission on Wednesday for interrogation where he also made a statement.

In a statement posted via the EFCC X account, the commission said it invited the 31-year-old following a video report of spraying and flaunting wads of new naira notes at the premiere of a movie, Ajakaju, produced by Eniola Ajao, a Nollywood actress and producer, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24.

It explained that investigations also revealed that he had also committed the alleged offence at some other event centres and parties at different times.

The commission also stated that the cross-dresser would soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations

In the past week, there were calls for his arrest following a controversial award for best dress female at a movie premier. The incident  generated outrage from many different quarters.
