Eid-el-Fitr: NCAA assures passengers of flight safety
The Director-General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Musa Nuhu, has assured passengers of their safety, comfort and seamless celebration during the holiday.
Mr Nuhu gave the assurance in a statement on Monday while felicitating Muslims and staff of the authority on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
He assured the travelling public of their safety, security and comfort during the Sallah celebration as the authority would continue to ensure operators’ strict adherence to regulations in all facets of their operations.
On Workers’ Day, Mr Nuhu commended all workers in the aviation industry for their hard work and commitment.
According to him, the role of labour in any country’s growth and development cannot be overemphasised.
“That is why the United Nations declared and set aside May 1, of every year as a public holiday to commemorate the working class as the producer of our commonwealth.”
He, however, assured that aviation would maintain its prime role as a major contributor to the Gross Domestic Product of the country and a catalyst for economic prosperity.
Mr Nuhu reassured workers that the government would continue to take the interest and welfare of workers at heart and ensure that maximum conducive working conditions were put in place.
