Eid-el-Kabir: FRSC deploys 572 personnel in Zamfara

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara command, says it has deployed 572 personnel and 17 operational vehicles for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.
Isah Aliyu, the command’s public relations officer, made this known in a statement on Monday in Gusau.
The acting sector commander in charge of the state, Musa Shehu, urged the deployed officers and men to maintain high visibility and professionalism.
He said that the personnel would also keep vigilance at strategic locations, including Eid grounds, motor parks, markets, and other public gatherings with a view to clearing road obstructions.
Mr Shehu said the deployment would help ensure adequate safety of lives and property, as well as accident-free roads across the state during the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebrations.
He also directed the personnel to be proactive and respond to emergencies promptly during the period.
He further directed the personnel to work in synergy and collaboration with sister security agencies to achieve a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Mr Shehu also urged the general public to obey the traffic rules and regulations to support the command in achieving its mandate.
“Road safety is a collective responsibility. I appeal to all residents of the state to remain law-abiding,” he said.
He wished all the Muslim ummah and Muslim faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
