Eid-el-Maulud: Senate president prays for new era of peace, prosperity for Nigeria

President of Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Muslim faithful as they celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

Mr Akpabio, in a congratulatory message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, admonished Muslims in Nigeria to emulate Prophet Muhammad’s life of peace, love and service to humanity.

He said, “On behalf of the senate, my family, and constituents, I extend warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters as you celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). May this auspicious occasion bring peace, joy, and blessings to our great nation and the world at large. As we commemorate the life and teachings of the Prophet, I urge you to draw inspiration from his virtues of harmony, love, and service to humanity. May we all strive to live in unity, embracing the values of compassion, kindness, and selflessness that the Prophet exemplified.’’

He prayed that the celebration ushers in a new era of peace, prosperity, and progress for our nation.

He stated, “May Allah bless us all with wisdom, guidance, and protection. Wishing you a happy and blessed Eid-el-Maulud celebration.”
