EkitiDecides2026: INEC uploads 85.32 % of Ekiti gubernatorial election results on IReV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 2,086 results out of 2,445 polling units on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) as of 7:23 p.m. on Saturday.
The data represent an 85.32 per cent completion rate in the Ekiti State governorship election.
The Peoples Gazette viewed the uploaded results, which showed several local government areas, including Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA, Ilejemeje, Moja, Ikere, Ido-Osi, Ekiti West, Emure, Oye, Efon, and Gbonyin.
Others include Ise/Orun, Ikole, Ekiti South West, Ado Ekiti, Ijero and Ekiti East.
The elections drew 14 political parties, with incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking a second term.
Mr Oyebanji’s opponents are Oluwole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluwadare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oyebanji Olajuyin of the Labour Party and Blessing Abegunde of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Others in the race are Samuel Akande (AAC), Ayodeji Ojo (ADP), Opeyemi Felegan (Accord), Joseph Anifowose (APM), Bidemi Awogbemi (APP), Olaniyi Ayodele (PRP) and Victor Adetunji (ZLP).
Subsequent results are still being uploaded to the portal as collation and transmission continue across the state.
