#EkitiDecides2026: INEC uploads 90. 51% of election results on IReV

Results from 2,213 of the 2,445 polling units have been uploaded to the portal.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded results from 2,213 of the 2,445 polling units to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).


Checks by the Peoples Gazette showed that the uploaded results represent 90.51 per cent of all polling units in the Ekiti State governorship election as of 9:42 p.m.


A review of the portal showed that results had been uploaded from local government areas, including Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ilejemeje, Moba, Ikere, Ido/Osi, Ekiti West, Emure, Oye, Efon, and Gbonyin.


Others include: Ise/Orun, Ikole, Ekiti South West, Ado Ekiti, Ijero and Ekiti East.


The election featured 14 political parties, including the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is seeking re-election.


Other major contenders are Oluwole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluwadare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oyebanji Olajuyin of the Labour Party (LP), and Blessing Abegunde of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).


The remaining candidates are Samuel Akande (AAC), Ayodeji Ojo (ADP), Opeyemi Felegan (Accord), Joseph Anifowose (APM), Bidemi Awogbemi (APP), Olaniyi Ayodele (PRP), and Victor Adetunji (ZLP).


Additional election results are still being processed and uploaded to the portal as collation and electronic transmission continue across the state.
