El-Rufa’i urges Zamfara residents to join ADC to rescue Nigeria

A former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufa’i called on Zamfara residents to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to rescue Nigeria.
Mr El-Rufa’i made the call while addressing a crowd of ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday.
He said that the ADC has good blueprints to tackle security challenges in Zamfara.
Mr El-Rufa’i stated that the ADC has good plans for the future of Nigeria especially in the areas of security, economy and food security.
He stated, “I, therefore, urge Zamfara residents to join rescue move to save the state and Nigeria as a country. I am happy to visit Zamfara, I am very delighted as I see the progress of ADC and promotion of unity in the party.”
Mr El-Rufa’i cautioned members of the party against sabotage and disunity.
He commended the party’s leadership in the state for the massive mobilisation of ADC members.
Mr El-Rufa’i urged, “The party leadership should cooperate with youths and women groups to sensitise grassroots over the development of ADC in the state.”
He appealed to the electorate to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ready to vote for the ADC candidates at all levels in the 2027 General Elections.
Also speaking, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the ADC, Abubakar Atiku, described the visit of Mr El-Rufa’i to the state as a welcome development.
Mr Atiku said the party came with positive changes that would bolster the peace and stability of the state
He commended Zamfara ADC stakeholders for maintaining unity, peace and stability in the party.
“All ADC stakeholders are strongly working together for the ADC to bring positive changes that will bring security, justice and fairness to the people of the state.
“We will ensure unity, peace and stability among party leaders in the state,” he added.
The state ADC Chairman, Kabiru Garba, said the participants of the event that comprised youths and women came from the 14 local government areas of the state.
He said the ADC remained a united and strong family in the state.
Mr Garba said, “We are always recording great successes as our party is receiving new members on daily basis. Zamfara is a home of ADC. We are going to make sure that transparent leadership is brought to Zamfara by the ADC.”
The event was graced by various groups of people including grassroots politicians, Islamic scholars, women and youth groups, among others.
