El-Rufai’s wife Hadiza wishes him ‘Happy Father’s Day,’ says he’s unfairly detained

Hadiza, one of the wives of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, wished her husband a Happy Father’s Day on Sunday, lamenting his prolonged detention.
Mrs El-Rufai made the post on her X page on Sunday to commemorate Father’s Day.
“Happy birthday to me. Happy father’s day to my husband, who is being unfairly detained,” Mrs El-Rufai wrote.
Mr El-Rufai, undergoing prosecution by The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), over N432 billion money laundering charge based on a petition by the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has remained in detention since February 18.
The ICPC said it is keeping the ex-governor in detention based on a court remand order from March.
Though briefly released to bury his late mother in March, Mr El-Rufai has been in detention for about 120 days.
