Eld-el-Kabir: Alimosho, Mushin LG chairmen preach unity, love

The Chairman of Alimosho Local Government in Lagos State, Johnson Akinpelu, has heartily congratulated Muslim faithful and residents of Alimosho on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
Mr Akinpelu, in a statement on Wednesday, preached peaceful coexistence, love, sacrifice, and unity as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
“As we celebrate this sacred festival of sacrifice, obedience, love, and devotion to Almighty Allah, may the blessings of Eid bring peace, happiness, prosperity, and renewed hope to every home across our dear local government.
“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the virtues of selflessness, compassion, and unity. It is a season to extend kindness to one another, support the less privileged, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one people.
“On behalf of the government and people of Alimosho Local Government, I pray that Allah accepts our sacrifices, answers our prayers, and grants us continued peace, progress, and development in Alimosho and beyond,” Mr Akinpelu said.
Similarly, the Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Tunbosun Awe, joined thousands of Muslim faithful across Mushin to observe the Eid prayers at the Ajumoni praying ground in Mushin.
Mr Aruwe, in a statement on Wednesday, congratulated Muslims in Mushin and beyond on the successful celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, urging everyone to continue upholding the values of sacrifice, love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
According to the chairman, Eid serves as a reminder of the importance of selflessness, compassion for one another, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah.
“The Eid prayer witnessed a massive turnout of worshippers and was marked by gratitude, peace, and celebration as Muslims commemorated the festival of sacrifice in honour of the obedience and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (ASW),” he said.
He called on residents to continue supporting the ongoing developmental strides of the administration while maintaining peace and unity across communities in Mushin Local Government.
The council chairman also used the occasion to pray for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Mushin, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He expressed optimism that the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu would continue to bring meaningful development to the people.
