Ember Months: Adamawa police deploy operatives, warn against trouble making

The police command in Adamawa says it has deployed operatives for total clamp down on law breakers, criminals as well as warning trouble makers in the state to desist.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, spokesperson for the command, disclosed this in a statement in Yola on Monday.
Mr Nguroje explained that according to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Morris Dankombo, those deployed will checkmate all criminal activities.
Mr Dankombo said the development was a further attestation to the command’s determination to provide a peaceful and conducive atmosphere in the state.
”The deployed operatives of the command are drawn from the Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT), Crack squad, Anti Shilla and Narcotics squads to carry out a tactical and intelligence – driven 24/7 raid against all violence crimes.
”These deployments will assist in coordinating timely response to distress calls and clamp down on those found committing crimes,” he said.
The CP equally directed the divisional police officers, commander 14/65 Police Mobile Force (PMF) and area C
Commanders to personally lead the operations in their respective areas of responsibility.
According to him, this will ensure total domination of the public space, especially at night.
He solicited the cooperation of residents of the state, particularly those living outside the metropolitans, to report any suspicious character around their neighbourhood to the police or call emergency numbers 08089671313, 08130013347, 08030693476.
