Three people were killed after a Dangote supply truck ran into #EndSARS protesters in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday morning, witnesses told Peoples Gazette.

The incident sparked a riot that saw residents set two trucks run by the conglomerate on fire, witnesses said.

Emergency services have moved those who were injured to the hospital for treatment. Horrific videos of the incident were distributed on social media Tuesday morning.

A spokesman for Dangote Group did not immediately return a request seeking comments. Dangote haulage trucks are frequently involved in fatal crashes, despite years of promises towards operational improvements, including better training of drivers.

The police in Ekiti said they have launched an investigation into what caused the truck to lose control, resulting in the carnage against people protesting decades of police brutality.
