Last night, marchers across protest venues observed candlelight rites to honour late victims of police brutality. People narrated their experiences, prayers were offers and many sang their hearts out in solidarity.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has apologised on behalf of government but the gesture appears to be too little, too late. The demonstrators remain implacable for now.
