EndSARS signifies murder, mayhem, mass destruction, cannibalism: Adesina

Contrary to Mr Adesina’s stance, the #EndSARS was a nationwide protest against prolonged years of police brutality.

Femi Adesina, spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, says the EndSARS protest “signifies murder, mayhem, mass destruction and even cannibalism.”

Mr Adesina said this in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, accusing the Peoples Democratic Party of planning to destabilise the country.

“The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has given itself away as being interested only in the destabilization of the country, peradventure it could then sneak its way back to power,” Mr Adesina said.

“Rather than plot and encourage “agitation worse than October 2020 EndSARS,” which it may well be conceiving, the PDP should work for harmony and cohesion in the country, if it ever understands such concept.

“EndSARS signified murder, mayhem, mass destruction, even cannibalism. PDP now wishes Nigeria something worse,” Mr Adesina added.

Contrary to Mr Adesina’s stance, the #EndSARS was a nationwide protest against prolonged years of police brutality, championed by young citizens in 2020.

On October 20, however, Nigerian soldiers opened live rounds on protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, killing scores and carting away their dead bodies.

The Lagos judicial panel on #EndSARS had established in its report that officers of the Nigerian Army “provocatively and unjustifiably” killed several #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, and then took away their corpse.
