The African Energy Chamber has scheduled African Energy Week 2026 to hold from October 12 to 16 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event will feature industry leaders, international energy companies and other professionals to assess Africa’s energy capacity, investment outlook and prospects for industrial growth.

The event is projected to attract long-term investors to the continent while expanding local participation across energy markets, particularly in gas-producing countries seeking to strengthen their position on a global scale.

Gas is expected to be hot-button topic that will drive attention to the readiness of countries such as Nigeria, Mozambique, Tanzania, Senegal, Mauritania, Angola and Egypt, including other emerging gas economies, to harness their resources for power generation, renewable energy and transition to cleaner technologies.

The AEW 2026 will present an avenue for Nigeria to share its energy reform story and strengthen ties with other African nations.
