Enugu CP congratulates Rangers FC on record 9th NPFL title

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mamman Giwa, has congratulated Rangers International Football Club for winning the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
Rangers, popularly known as the Flying Antelopes, clinched their record ninth NPFL title after defeating Ikorodu City 2-1 in their final match of the season in Lagos to finish top of the table with 68 points.
In a congratulatory message issued on Wednesday in Enugu, Mr Giwa described the achievement as remarkable.
He said the feat was a testament to the club’s resilience, discipline, teamwork and sustained hard work throughout the season.
“I urge the team to remain focused and sustain its winning spirit as worthy ambassadors of Enugu State and Nigeria,” he said.
The police commissioner noted that the victory had once again brought pride and honour to Enugu State and football fans in the state.
He commended the players, coaching crew, management, supporters and other stakeholders for their collective contributions to the success.
Mr Giwa also reassured the club of the command’s continued collaboration and commitment to providing adequate security during and after home matches at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
“The command remains committed to ensuring a safe and orderly environment for players, officials and fans.
“I urge officials, players and supporters to remain law-abiding and security conscious, and also promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station,” he added.
