EPL: Bournemouth shock Liverpool; Man City win to retain second spot on table
Matchday 23 of the English Premier League delivered major upsets on Saturday, as Bournemouth stunned title holders Liverpool 3–2 at the Vitality Stadium, while Manchester City secured a 2–0 win to remain second on the table.
Bournemouth raced into a two-goal lead by the 33rd minute before Liverpool drew level with two goals by the 80th minute. However, the home side snatched all three points with a late strike five minutes into added time.
Manchester City maintained second place on the EPL table after a 2–0 victory over relegation-battling Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium.
Elsewhere, Fulham defeated Brighton 2–1 at Craven Cottage, West Ham beat Sunderland 3–1 at the London Stadium, while Tottenham and Burnley played out a 2–2 draw at Turf Moor.
The remaining Matchday 23 fixtures will be played on Sunday, including Arsenal vs Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium, Newcastle United hosting Aston Villa at St. James’ Park, Chelsea visiting Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, and Brentford entertaining Nottingham Forest at the Gtech Community Stadium.
