EPL: Brighton crush sluggish Manchester United at Old Trafford

Manchester United returned from international break to a devastating 3 -1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton won all three points as Eric Ten Hag’s side failed to bounce back from the devastating 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the break.
United came into the game looking good at the start until the visitors struck, damaging the momentum of the home side.
Former United player, Danny Welbeck, gave Brighton the lead 21 minutes into the game on his visit to Old Trafford, riling up frustrated Red Devils’ fans.
Rasmus Hojlund pulled an equaliser for United in the 41st minute but VAR ruled it out, showing Marcus Rashfood crossed the ball from outside the pitch.
United returned into the second half with the hope of an equaliser but Brighton pushed harder, doubling their lead courtesy of Pascal Gross in the 52nd minute.
Substitute Joao Pedro made it three for Brighton, damaging all hope of a possible comeback for United in the 71st minute.
Mejbri Hannibal got United a consolation goal two minutes later but it was not enough to please frustrated fans who booed Hag while the game was on.
With this home defeat, the Red Devils have lost three in five games of the season, garnering six points to stay 12th on the EPL log.
