It rained goals at Anfield on Sunday as struggling Liverpool thrash Manchester United 7-0 in their English Premier League encounter.

Liverpool came out smoking, outplaying and condemning the Red Devils to a defeat that stuns United fans across the globe.

The game, which started out with both sides playing hard to be in control, became Liverpool’s goal scoring practice from the moment they opened scoring.

Better described as one sided seven-goal thriller.

Cody Gakpo led the brutal demolition of United, scoring in the 43rd minute to put Liverpool ahead going into the break.

Liverpool returned for the second half much stronger, doing more damage as the Red Devils completely lost control of the game.

Early into second half, Darwin Nunez doubled Liverpool’s lead with a header, leaving United two goals behind.

United were yet to find their rhythm in the game when Gakpo netted his second goal in the game, making it three for Liverpool.

But Liverpool were not done scoring.

All hope of a possible consolation goal for the Red Devils were ruined when Mo Salah brilliantly struck Liverpool’s fourth goal.

With United defence in disarray, Nunez headed home another goal for Liverpool in the 75th minute, while Salah’s goal in the 83rd minute made it six for the Reds.

Roberto Firmino ended Sunday’s poor outing for United, scoring Liverpool’s 7th goal in the 88th minute.

With no consolation goal, United added to one of their worst outings in history on Sunday.

Liverpool remain 5th on the EPL log with 47 points in 25 games, while United are 3rd on the log with 49 points in 25 games.
