EPL: Manchester United win to send Everton into relegation zone
Manchester United boosted their chance of Champions League qualification, defeating Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday in the English Premier League.
United scored a goal in each of the halves to keep their UCL qualification dream alive, while Everton sank into the relegation zone.
Scottish star, Scott McTominay, fires United ahead 36 minutes into the game courtesy of an assist from Jadon Sancho.
With the Red Devils leading into the first-half break, they took better control of the game in the second half, doubling their lead.
Marcus Rashford capitalised on Seamus Coleman’s bad ball control, seized the ball and made a pass to Anthony Martial who fired in United’s second goal in the 71st minute.
With Saturday’s win, United are making good move for a top-four finish this season. They are now third on the EPL log with 56 points in 29 games, pending the outcome of Newcastle’s game.
