Euro 2024 (FULL FIXTURES): Germany battle Spain, France face off Portugal in quarter-finals

The Euro 2024 last eight is filled with heavyweight matches: Spain tango hosts Germany and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal face Mbappe’s France.

Eight matches remain in Euro 2024 following the completion of the round of 16, which included the thrilling game between Türkiye and Austria at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig on Monday night.

Defender Merih Demiral scored twice in the opening minute and with a header in the 59th before Michael Gregoritsch put one back as Türkiye defeated Austria 2-1 to reach the tournament’s quarter-finals.

Türkiye will now face the Netherlands, which defeated Romania 2-0 in their round of 16 tie on Monday, for a place in the last four. Following the extra-time win against Slovakia, England will face Switzerland in the semi-finals-.

Switzerland’s 2-0 victory over Italy was a major upset. The defending champions were knocked out in a dominant fashion. The upcoming quarter-final fixture against the Three Lions is expected to be a tough one.

The Euro 2024 last eight is filled with heavyweight matches. Three-time champions Spain tango hosts Germany for a place in the semi-finals, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal face two-time champions France.
